Isaac is one of the hardest-working people I have ever met. He will do whatever it takes to ensure that our future children and I have the best life. Part of his work ethic comes from the competitive spirit that lives inside him; playing college soccer and being one of three brothers, everything was always a competition.

It`s funny when people talk about love at first sight. Kyeli and I met on a whim, without mutual friends or connection. Within a month of meeting her, I told my brother, “This girl`s the real deal .”It`s difficult to summarize what “the real deal” actually means, but here are a few of the qualities that I love about my wife:

We live in a beautiful North Idaho town where we can experience all four seasons.

Our home is our happy place, and we love hosting our friends and family. We have a great house for having fun! We like to spend most of our time in the bigger social areas; the living room playing games and watching sports, the dining room cooking and eating, and our lovely backyard for grilling, playing catch with our dog, Maya, and all our yard games.

Our neighborhood is quiet and safe, about 5 minutes from town but within walking distance (I mean less than a mile) from each of our parents....

Both of us grew up surrounded by family, which is one of the foundations of our relationship.

For Kyeli, as one of five girl cousins, there were always fashion shows at her frequent family get-togethers. Isaac’s family lived near one another growing up, with three sets of aunts, uncles, and grandma living in the same neighborhood. This was where Sunday dinners took place every week, which included prayers, food, and of course, all the little cousins playing some sort of competition.

Much of our childhood revolved around sports and activities; to this day, we are both still very active and look forward to sharing some of our passions with our future children.

Winter: Being from Colorado and North Idaho, we both grew up with plenty of ski mountains in our backyard. Going up to the mountains on the weekend and going to the lodge to get fries and hot chocolate makes for a perfect winter day. Winter is also the start of college basketball. We are HUGE Gonzaga fans and go to many of their games throughout the season.
